Who said diamonds are a girl’s best friend?
For me, it’s tanzanite. I completely love that it changes colors in different lighting (mainly violet =) (Did you know that there is actually a color-grading scales dividing tanzanite colors into a range of hues, between blue violet and violet blue?) Oh yeah, and tanzanite only comes from Tanzania, so it’s a bit rare. I have a beautiful piece to share with you today- and here it is!
Chris proposed to me with a tanzanite ring (swoon!). To make a long story short, after resizing the ring down to a size 4- it was never the same. We took it from jeweler to jeweler trying to fix bad work that the previous had done to the ring, and it was honestly a nightmare. I don’t even have the original e-ring b/c it was replaced completely during the huge ordeal. Anyways, since gemstone rings are rarely ‘engagement rings’, it was very difficult to find bands to fit with the ring, but I finally did. And it looked gorgeous- perfect!
Until I realized that the ering was actually damaging the wedding bands by rubbing against them. We had to find a solution before diamonds started falling out of my bands.
The solution ended up being this beautiful custom ring to replace my old ering, and I couldn’t love it more! Chris purchased the tanzanite gem first, then we worked with Laurie Sarah to create a custom setting for it.
Best news of all? It fits perfectly with my bands =)
Now show me yours!
