Would you believe that I am still tired, and the party was almost a week ago now?
The dino party is over, and the kids had such a great time building their pals. Sixteen friends showed up to celebrate with Dax, and he was so excited about the entire thing. I ended up with about 300 pics from the party, which is why it took a while to choose them! Dax named his ‘Dino’, and today was the first day that he brought Dino to school with instead of his bear Blue. I thought it was very sweet when the ‘party leader’ (who was dressed as a Sock Monkey) passed out 2 tiny hearts to each child and asked each of them to put one heart in their dino, and the other in Dax’s. It actually went smoother than I expected, and loved returning home to a house that was not decorated from top to bottom. Although my living room still looks a bit like Chrismtas morning right now ;)
Yesterday for Dax’s actual birthday, we started off by picking up his first set of school pictures (omg so cute!), then we did some shopping and had lunch. After lunch, my aunt and I took him to his very first movie- Frankenweenie. It was a tad bit scary for him (I was even on the edge of my seat for a sec there, lol), but it was such a cute movie! After the movie, we debated about going Trick or Treating or going to Chuck E Cheese. So we left it up to Dax, and he quickly chose Chick E Cheese. Which was fine by us, since Halloween kind of sucks now. I mean, trick or treating in the day time? It’s just odd/boring/lame compared to when I was a kid, but maybe I’m just not a kid anymore so it’s not that exciting. Ha!
Another party down! And now it’s time for Christmas shopping to begin ;)
