I did some holiday shopping on Black Friday, and also received a few items in the mail which I ordered for gifts. After our tree was put up, I decided to wrap a package or two, since this is usually one of my favorite things to do for Christmas. I also thought I’d try to make progress, since I’ll have to ship some packages to West Palm Beach before the 16th, when we arrive there to spend an early Christmas with Chris’ family. I loved the way they turned out so much, that I wrapped all of the gifts I have so far!
1- I found inspiration for the monogrammed tags at Pottery Barn, they had some similar tree ornaments with a glittered sliver rim around them. Since the wrapping paper and berry spriggs already had glitter, I skipped this part. I LOVE glitter, but figured that it would probably be sparkle overkill =P
2- I bought the wrapping paper at Target and the berry sprigg branches at walmart (in silver & red). After wrapping the packages, I cut a small branch off of the berry sprigg.
3-I already had the double faced red satin ribbon, and I tied them around the packages and strung the tag onto the ribbon before tying the bow.
4- I printed the round tags and cut them out with my 2.5″ craft punch. Love that thing! I punched a hole in the top, tied a bow, slipped the berry under the bow, and ta-das! A pretty peppermint-y package!
They do look quite amazing under my snow white tree =D
What are some of your favorite things about Christmas? Do you enjoy making each of your packages special?
