So Sunday officially marked our one year anniversary! Wow, I can’t believe it’s been one year since the wedding. Time sure does fly….
We decided to work on a couple of projects at home (will reveal soon!), and wanted to have a day of shopping, adventuring, and of course eating delicious food. My mom offered to take Dax for two days so we could do all of these things, and I missed him so much- but it was a lot of fun.
Saturday was the day we decided to celebrate, and the weather was gorgeous! We started with running errands, and then ended up at one of our favorite spots- Perkins Rowe. It’s a little shopping area, but more like a town really. The roads are bricked and there are many shops, restaurants, and other fun things to do- like Barnes n Noble and a movie theater. The tops of the stores have apartments/condos- and we always said that if we didn’t have a child, it’d be perfect to live there. Everything is in walking distance, even a little Fresh Market. We stopped at Barnes n Noble, and Z Gallerie, which was filled with beautiful home decor items & furniture. Here are some of my favorites:
We went to dinner at On the Border, and had a very tasty dinner- complete with a watermelon margarita for me (yum!), and a huge goblet o’ beer for Chris. At least that’s what he called it =) We even got to sit on the front patio all alone- it was romantic <3
At the end of dinner, we decided to interview/video each other- and asked questions about the past year. I asked him if hecould describe the last year in one word what would it be? He said tedious. HA! It was pretty funny.. Here I am laughing with my (blurry) margarita in hand:
We ended the evening with a last minute trip to the mall to meet up with some friends, and headed home to finish up our projects. It was a great day, and a perfect way to start our second year together. Happy Anniversary Love!
P.S. What do you think of this for my Halloween costume? Ha!
