A few months ago when I began planning this shiny new website, I was on the hunt for new fonts.I always use google fonts when possible, but I was really looking for something a bit modern and curvy, while still being narrow and easy to read. But I was coming up shorthanded. So I decided to give typekit a whirl. I started looking through pages and pages of fonts, and even favorited a few. Then I spotted the Dax font. And not only did my heart melt (Dax is my son’s name in case you didn’t know =), but it was exactly what I was looking for. I took it as a sign and incorporated it into my logo and website design, and it makes me smile every time I look at it.
Speaking of Dax, he’s currently going through a ‘best friend’ phase- and it’s the sweetest/cutest thing in the world. He started telling me “Mommy, you’re my best friend”… then he told Daddy, and Gram, and his aunt. But now he’s declared that one of his playmates, Gavin, is his best friend. It makes me realize that my little boy is growing up so fast, and I just want to hold on to his every little milestone.
